Bad Day Bluster

For him, it was one of those days when you’re walking with a purpose, to actually get somewhere, and everyone just gets in your way.  It’s not that you’re even trying to swim upstream against the current, you’re trying to go with the flow and the flow is telling you to shove it up your ass.  It was one of those days that was “just one of those days.”  Aloys decided to buy an actual newspaper for the first time in years to sit and read outside, since it was a nice day, if windy.  He thought the physical act of it all might just cheer him up.  Early morning rain showers had left deep puddles that were only just thinning in the sunlight.  He bought the paper in a corner market, and when he stepped out the door with the paper tucked under his arm some fool checking his phone walked right into him.  The paper came free, a gust of wind blew in from the fuck-you-Aloys west, and it all scattered.  Take a moment to appreciate the frustration that curdled in him.  If looks could kill, the one Aloys shot the Bumper wouldn’t have left enough for dental identification.
